X/OS Experts in Open Systems was founded in 1994 to provide state-of-the-art solutions based on UNIX and Open Source software. Back in 1994, our primary business was providing top-notch technical expertise for companies both large and small. Since then, we've successfully completed an extensive lists of projects ranging from several days to several months of work. Each and every project has succeeded as a result of our highly-qualified technical staff. People that have an in-depth knowledge of UNIX, some with over 20 years of hard-core UNIX expertise.

We've expanded our activities to include pre-configured servers, high-availability solutions, hosting services and embedded firewall/VPN gateways. Every solution we provide is built with quality and reliability in mind - from start to finish. Using open standards exclusively, we ensure that our products are interoperable with current and future IT investments.

Linux has been our operating system of choice for the majority of our work. Our mastery of Linux is continuously evolving and supported by active involvement with the international Linux community. One example is the firewall technology we built into the Linux kernel, up to version 2.0.

X/OS has been involved with the Linux-Kongress since 1998. Our contribution to the Linux-Kongress has ranged from co-organizing the conference and being a member of the program committee to giving tutorials about Linux firewall technology.
