The Sparc port of Linux grew from a small hobbyist venture by myself. Within one single year an immense amount of interest grew in my work. This talk will explore what perhaps made it so interesting to others, some technical aspects and design details will be discussed as well. The talk will end with some looks into the future, exploring what new things will be happening with this particular port of Linux. Attendees should leave this talk with a good feeling for the history of the Sparc port of Linux, and the things which make it unique and interesting for many people all around the world.
